Stride Treglown is a multi-disciplinary architectural practice that specialises in working closely with our clients to design award winning R&D science and technology projects. We have developed expert knowledge from designing next generation science districts, technology parks and buildings for advanced technologies. Our projects range from labs to incubator units, from start-ups to multinational organisations.

The National Composites Centre (NCC) at the Bristol & Bath Science Park
£31.5m 17000sqm international hub for the design and production of carbon composite components; research and office space, clean rooms.
The Institute of Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS)
£60m centre for research into low carbon automotive technologies; chassis dynamometers, battery and engine testing facilities, offices, atrium and seminar facilities.
The Satellite Applications Catapult at Harwell
Currently in development.
The Met Office’s High Performance Computer (HPC) complex at Exeter Science Park.
£12m BREEAM Outstanding flexible startup business space; digital fabrication space, offices, workhub.
Swansea University School, of Engineering buildings at the Bay Campus
Including the BREEAM Outstanding Energy Safety Research Institute with its experimental laboratories, offices, meeting facilities and lecture theatre. Utilises a passive low energy strategy incorporating PVs, rainwater harvesting and a micro CHP unit.
The University of Reading Health & Life Sciences building
£70m ‘Life Sciences’ zone within the Whiteknights Campus; flexible labs, research spaces and study areas.
The University of Plymouth’s Derriford Research Facility
£12.5m research centre for biomedical research for interdisciplinary working and clinical collaboration; laboratories, write-up, in-vivo facilities.
The University of Exeter Environment and Sustainability Institute
Laboratories, offices and collaboration spaces for academic projects. An exemplar in environmental design, the project has a winning combination of sustainable materials and renewables.
