On September 10th the University of Birmingham will be holding a showcase event for researchers and companies who want to access the medical, engineering and technical facilities that are available at the University.
The Facilities Showcase is intended for companies who want to propel their projects forwards in collaboration with the University’s cutting edge facilities and expertise.
It will include stands, talks, and tours of on-campus facilities, which, along with the expertise available at a research-intensive university, can drive research and development projects forward.

Exhibitors and talks include:
10:20am: Birmingham Tissue Analytics (tissue staining, visualisation and image analysis)
10:30am: Centre for Electron Microscopy (provides expertise in operating electron microscopes and data interpretation)
10:40am: Genomics Birmingham (provides a range of genomic services including next generation sequencing (NGS))
1:00pm: Terahertz Measurement Facility (tests and characterises novel low THz devices and systems)
1:10pm: Human Biomaterial Resource Centre (HBRC) (a Human Tissue Authority licensed human sample biorepository operated by the University of Birmingham)
1:20pm: Biomolecular NMR Facility (uses nuclear magnetic resonance to investigate structural biology, drug design and metabolomics)
2:00pm: Flow Cytometry Facility (supports flow cytometry, cell sorting and mass cytometry)
2:10pm: COMPARE Advanced Imaging Facility (offers training, support and access to equipment for advanced microscopy and image analysis)
2:20pm: Intravital Microscopy Imaging (imaging of live animals at microscopic resolution)
