ABOUT
Oxford Innovation manage The EpiCentre on behalf of Jaynic. Our onsite team comprises an Innovation Director (business innovation and growth support), Centre Manager, Assistant Centre Manager, Lab Technician and Customer Experience Assistants. This team is supported by OI’s Central Team, providing advice and guidance on statutory and regulatory matters (H&S, compliance, accounts, money laundering etc).

Networking opportunities
Support is provided to our customers via an array of mechanisms. Our onsite Innovation Director provided 1:1 and 1:many support via diagnostics (utilising GrowthMapper), needs analysis (business and innovation), partner matching and collaboration opportunities between centre customers and by plugging into the centre’s ecosystem, comprising external support from NALEP, CPCA, EEN, IUK, KTN, TechEast, Amazon Wed Services and DIT.
The EpiCentre provides office and lab space to early stage and growing businesses, as well as those more established businesses looking for a base near to the thriving Cambridge science and tech cluster.
Office space:
We provide from small offices for 3+ employees, to custom-built spaces up to 600 sq m. Our all-inclusive rental contracts give customers control over their costs. We also provide hot desk or shared space.
Labspace:
Our shared lab space in Cambridge comes with all-inclusive, flexible rental contracts. Our shared labs come fully kitted out with specialist equipment, perfect for tissue culturing, microbiology research and more. And with a write-up area and waste management, alongside specific equipment:
- CO2 incubator
- Autoclave
- Centrifuge
- LN2 vessel
- Shaking incubator
- Chemical fume hood
- Glass washer
- Phase 3 power outlets
We also provide standalone and dedicated labs for growing businesses of all sizes.
Onsite there is a café, as well as campus amenities such as nursery, retail stores, countryside setting and onsite parking.
Sector focus and community members’ profile
The EpiCentre is at the heart of the growing ‘innovation and tech’ cluster in north Cambridgeshire on the Haverhill Research Park. The centre has a strong focus on life sciences, innovation and data driven technological businesses. The centre opened in November 2020 and is growing its community.
