As architects and engineers we have worked on award winning projects in all major sectors including established expertise and a growing portfolio in the design of research facilities for science and technology.

Established in 1961, BDP was one of the first interdisciplinary design practices. We have won over 850 awards for design quality and with a staff of over 800 people in 12 studios across the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, the MENA region, India, and China, we are one of the largest architect-led firms in Europe. Our founding principles of collaboration and partnership remain central to our work today.

Fully Integrated Design

BDP is ‘Level 2’ BIM compliant in accordance with the requirements of PAS 1192-2:2013, the first practice in the UK to achieve this rating.

BDP is also part of a team to develop the BIM Digital Toolkit which sets standards and guidance for the UK Government. The BIM Toolkit has the potential to transform the procurement of buildings and infrastructure by defining and testing the BIM data required at each stage of the project.
