The partners have worked together over the last 10 years investing and developing UK Real Estate. Using combined Residential and Commercial experience, Gen Two aims to deliver bespoke workplaces that meet the needs of their customers, whilst creating sustainable ecosystems that truly engage with local communities. Gen Two provides a platform to co-create science and innovation destinations that deliver long term and meaningful economic, environmental and social value.
Gen Two has assembled an experienced team of professionals and mentors to build a Life Science portfolio that both incubates start-ups, and provides grow on space for more established companies. Given the agile family-run nature of the company, coupled with an experienced professional team, Gen Two are able to undertake work independently, via a Joint Venture or in a Development Manager capacity.
In November 2023 Gen Two delivered a 11,000 sq ft laboratory in Whittlesford, Cambridge for Constructive Bio, who are rewriting genomes to create biomolecules. As part of their growth, Constructive Bio moved from a 2,000 sq ft premises on a nearby science park to the larger facility in Whittlesford. The facility was engineered by Gen Two and Constructive Bio to enable efficient science flows for the company.
Also in November 2023, Gen Two achieved planning consent for a life science hub in Fowlmere, Cambridge which will provide 125,000 sq ft in total, of which 5,500 sq ft will be dedicated to public facing amenity, including a café, a gym and a conferencing facility. Named Alchemy, and based on a 5.2 acre site, the scheme will consist of 8 suites ranging in size from 10,000 – 20,000 sq ft R&D space, providing crucial scale space for companies expanding their biology, chemistry or GMP functions.
