FESTIVAL

Great news for the Baltic Triangle’s music and festival scene as Positive Vibration Festival return in 2020. After a year-long hiatus, the UK’s award-winning celebration of reggae music and Jamaican culture returns to the Baltic Triangle 12 & 13 June 2020.

Positive Vibration is a fantastic celebration of reggae music and Jamaican culture and is always full to the brim of great art, amazing music, a wonderful inclusive atmosphere and pure positivity.

Since its inception in 2016, Positive Vibration has established itself as one of the country’s most exciting and eclectic reggae festivals, playing host to internationally renowned bands, legendary Sound Systems & Selectors and some of the brightest new talent.

Next year’s festival is no exception, with some absolute heavyweights already confirmed including Don Letts, Liverpool legend Levi TafariHollie Cook & General RootsKiko BunThe Upper Cut Band, Dub icon Mad Professor and many many more.

Taking place over the 12 & 13 June 2020, the festival also sees the return of the Reggae Q&A panel discussion, Jamdown Food & Drinks Market, Family Workshops and The Art of Reggae Exhibition which will showcase 100 reggae-inspired posters, designed by illustrators & artists from over 60 countries.

This is a family friendly event and there’s lot to do for all age groups. There’s the added bonus that children under 12 go free!

This is one of the best events in the Baltic Triangle and has had a huge cultural impact on the area. We simply can’t wait for next summer when we’ll get a chance to be a part of the festival once again. It has been much missed and it’s great to be able to announce its return.

One indication of its impact and the work of its organisers is coming up at District this Saturday as they bring Massive Attack’s Daddy G to the Baltic Triangle for a much-anticipated live show. It’s fantastic to have this calibre of artist performing in the area.
