The Oxford Science Park welcomes new Managing Director

The Oxford Science Park is pleased to welcome James Evans as its new Managing Director.

James joins from Longfellow Real Estate Partners, where he was a Senior Director leading the company’s operational activities in the UK, overseeing portfolio management, asset management, leasing and property management. As part of this, he managed CamLIFE, a 42-acre, 250,000 sq ft innovation campus on the outskirts of Cambridge.

As Managing Director, James will lead The Oxford Science Park through the next phase of its life, overseeing investment across the campus while ensuring it continues to provide an outstanding environment for the science and technology companies based there.

James said: “It’s a privilege to be joining The Oxford Science Park at such an exciting time. Over three decades, the Park has built an outstanding reputation as one of the UK’s leading innovation communities, and there is a real opportunity to build on that success. I look forward to getting to know our occupiers and supporting the continued development of a campus where they can innovate, collaborate and grow.”

Before joining Longfellow, James spent eight years at Trinity Investment Management and Pioneer Group, the UK’s largest life science operator. During his time at Pioneer, he led the asset and development management team and the portfolio management function, working with key partners including Oxford Properties, The Crown Estate, Angelo Gordon, Harrison Street, Santander, Lloyds and Starwood. Prior to Trinity, James was at Colliers and JLL Corporate Finance.

Yong Shen, a Director of The Oxford Science Park, said: “We are delighted to welcome James to The Oxford Science Park. His experience of managing a major innovation campus, combined with his expertise in asset management, customer experience and delivering complex projects, makes him the ideal person to lead the Park through its next phase. We look forward to working with James as we continue to strengthen the Park’s position as one of Europe’s leading destinations for science and technology businesses.”
