Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst Appoints Andrew Waters as Chief Executive Officer

The Board of SBC is delighted to announce the promotion of Andrew Waters from his current position of Chief Financial Officer & Interim CEO to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Andrew has a First Class Physics degree from Imperial College, London, and is an FCA Chartered Accountant who has worked almost his whole career within the Life Sciences industry.

After four years at PwC London, Andrew spent 16 years at GSK in a number of positions across R&D and the commercial business including time working overseas in US, Denmark and Netherlands.  Andrew then spent six years co-founding and developing a start-up business which raised over £40 million from private equity and successfully developed and launched OTC medicines into the US market achieving national scale.

Andrew subsequently held public company CFO appointments before joining SBC in September 2023 as CFO.  He was appointed into the role of CFO & interim CEO in January 2025.
