Pioneer Group has appointed Chris Walters, as Portfolio Director and European Acquisitions Lead.
Chris brings extensive experience in life sciences real estate, supported by a strong network of relationships across academia, research institutes, public sector bodies and real estate capital. His appointment will play a pivotal role in advancing Pioneer’s growth strategy and strengthening its position as a global leader in science-focused commercial real estate.

Chris joins Pioneer from JLL, where he played a key role in the development of its life science offer to clients before taking on leadership of the UK business in 2021.
Throughout his career, Chris has managed high-profile projects across the UK and internationally with a focus on translating emerging science and technology trends into practical solutions for occupiers, developers, and investors. His portfolio includes acquisitions and disposals, strategic advisory work for academic institutions and science-focused businesses, as well as landlord and occupier projects within key science clusters in the Golden Triangle and wider UK market for laboratory, clean room and office space. His experience also extends to Europe and the US, providing him with a deep understanding of how macro and local industry trends impact science real estate markets.
