A flurry of new signings has seen a serviced offices provider in Southampton reach nearly 50 companies on site.

Eight firms have signed up to nearly 2,400 sq ft between them, with a further two occupiers flexing up workspace, at Ocean Village Innovation Centre (OVIC).

Stephen Deller, OVIC’s centre manager, said: “We’ve had a flying start to 2024 – smaller companies often prefer serviced workspace where just a month’s notice is required, giving them the flexibility to quickly upsize or downsize depending on operational requirements.

“Eight firms have signed up to our easy-in, easy-out office licences, with two others expanding their footprint here at OVIC, meaning we are just three shy of 50 companies on site.

“Business support is critical to the success of many companies starting out or maturing, and, to that end, we have further strengthened our events programme through delivery partnerships in relation to skills, training, sales and strategic growth advice.

“What we have here at OVIC is a thriving community of entrepreneurs and innovators – the building is bursting with energy, ideas and can-do attitude.”

New joiners are Napier Management, PBA Consultants, Forest Financial Planning, St Dominic Healthcare, Access 21, Worldwide Cruises and Vision For Education, with Prospero Teaching and Blue Arrow expanding office space.

With 30,000 sq ft of serviced offices and meeting rooms, and in-house business support, OVIC, which turns 14 this December, is run by UKSPA member Oxford Innovation Space on behalf of the building’s private owner.
