“The Chancellor has rightly prioritised life sciences as an area of high growth in this and his previous fiscal statements. The UK has a real opportunity to solidify our position as one of the world leaders in the area.
“I welcome the announcement from the Chancellor ahead of his budget to invest £360m into life sciences and advanced manufacturing, building on the £520 million funding for life sciences manufacturing announced in his Autumn Statement.
“The UK needs to create an environment that attracts cutting edge science companies of all shapes and sizes. As a hub for life science innovation outside the ‘golden triangle’, we support further government intervention to make this happen.”
