Southampton Science Park is a regional jewel in the crown

Southampton Science Park is a ‘Jewel in the Crown’ according to the Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership (EM3), which regards it as an ‘outstanding asset that plays a significant role in contributing to the economy and wellbeing of communities and offers a unique array of benefits to the wider region, making it a vibrant place to live, work and invest’.

Sue Littlemore, Joint Managing Director for EM3, said: “We are very proud to boast so many globally innovative research organisations and leading businesses – many of which are at the cutting edge of their industries helping to support a low carbon, high growth EM3 region. Equally we have so much to offer in terms of natural capital with our outstanding open spaces which, now more than ever, are vital and so precious for the good mental and physical health of our residents.”

Robin Chave, CEO of the Science Park, welcomed the news. He commented: “We are delighted that our initiatives to encourage entrepreneurship, foster innovation and provide physical spaces for collaboration and idea generation have been recognised by the Enterprise M3 team, who I know work as hard as we do to boost the economic development of our region. Southampton Science Park is indeed an unrivalled place to start, build and grow technology businesses and there are numerous ways to be a part of our unique, vibrant community.”
