The University of Nottingham Innovation Park (UNIP) is a thriving science and innovation community which is home to 40 businesses and organisations. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Nottingham and is currently based across three iconic buildings with 61,000ft2 of lettable space on the University of Nottingham’s award-winning Jubilee campus, which is just two miles from Nottingham city centre. UNIP is in a period of significant expansion and by summer 2024 UNIP will be managing two additional buildings at the University’s new Castle Meadow Campus in central Nottingham, with the first opening in October 2023. This expansion will double UNIP’s lettable space.
UNIP’s aim is to encourage innovation and enterprise by providing a bridge between the corporate and academic worlds. We are now seeking to appoint an inaugural CEO, to lead the growth and expansion of UNIP at this exciting time in its development. You will build a vibrant community of innovation for world-leading academics, innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs, to enable the University of Nottingham to achieve its research, knowledge exchange and academic ambitions.
You will bring significant experience of managing an Innovation Science Park or a similar environment, along with clear understanding of the UK and global research and innovation landscape. You will be strategic leader, with the ability to influence and network across a wider range of academic and commercial stakeholders.
This is an opportunity to develop and grow UNIP to be an exemplar Innovation Science Park in the sector, delivering benefits to the whole region.
