The United Kingdom Science Park Association (UKSPA) is looking to appoint two new team members – an Events & Marketing Manager and a Membership Administrator.
The position of Events & Marketing Manager is an exciting and high-profile new role at UKSPA, that will combine:
- Event Management: Coordinating both physical and virtual member events.
- PR, Marketing & Content: Marketing, analytics, social media content management, as well as website, email & print.
The role is ideal for someone with a flair for marketing communication and member engagement, who also has a strong background in event management, particularly organising large conferences and webinars. The role is suited to flexible hybrid working, with an expectation that 2-3 days a week will be spent in the office. There will be an occasional requirement to work away from home for 2-3 days at a time when managing conference events – approximately 3 times per year. This lively and varied post requires an enthusiastic self-starter who can multi-task, work to deadlines and take the initiative. The post involves a high level of interaction with members and stakeholders of all levels of seniority, so the post-holder must combine a professional approach with a friendly and welcoming manner. The post-holder would also benefit from a background or interest in science, technology, innovation, business support and R&D.

The position of Membership Administrator is core role that will combine:
- Membership Administration: CRM maintenance, web content management and marketing automation.
- Finance Administration: Raising invoices & credit notes, processing purchase invoices, bank reconciliation and debtor management.
The role is ideal for someone who has experience in administration working within a membership association, with strong skills in Microsoft365 applications, CRM and Membership Management tools, WordPress, Mailchimp and SurveyMonkey, as well as experience of financial bookkeeping, particularly using Xero. The role is suited to flexible hybrid working, with an expectation that 2-3 days a week will be spent in the office. There may be an occasional requirement to work away from home for 2-3 days at a time supporting conference events, approximately 3 times per year, subject to negotiation. This varied post requires an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter with an eye for detail, who is experienced working in a small team, can multi-task, work to deadlines and take the initiative.
