ABOUT
Manchester Science Park is part of Manchester Science Partnerships and the Bruntwood SciTech network of thriving innovation districts. An established science and technology park in the heart of Manchester’s Oxford Road Corridor innovation district, the campus offers a range of office and lab space suitable for entrepreneurs, start-ups, scale-ups and larger businesses. The Park also offers a comprehensive programme of business support, including access to finance and funding, skills and talent, new markets and an experienced mentor network.
Already a sector-specialist hub of over 150 businesses working in areas including life sciences, medtech, digital tech, digital health, cyber security, AR/VR, blockchain and many more, the Park is undergoing an expansion to 1m sq ft, with the latest phase underway to re-develop Base to create a 91,000 sq ft hub for computer engineering, energy technology, light manufacturing and materials science businesses.
The Park also offers a great range of amenities such as a cafe, pub, studio gym, meeting and large event space, cycle store and kit drying room, roof terrace (coming 2021) and outdoor wifi. The Park’s vibrant social calendar brings businesses together for supper clubs, health and wellbeing events and annual summer BBQ and Christmas events to support the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and drive collaboration.
In 2019, a new Strategic Regeneration Framework was approved by Manchester City Council which will see the further expansion and development of the Park as a leading location in the city for science and tech businesses.
The campus has Enterprise Zone status providing rate relief and contributions to capital investment of up to £50,000 per year for 5 years, if applied for before 31 March 2021.
