A major contract to develop a new innovative reconnaissance system has been won by a consortium including Glyndwr Innovations Ltd. The contract was awarded by the MOD and the UK Defence Solutions Centre (DSC) to the partnership which will see Glyndwr Innovations Ltd work as part of a consortium with Qinetiq, Airbus and Thales.
Both Qinetiq and Glyndwr Innovations Ltd were chosen as winners who provided innovative solutions to key strategic future demands for UK defence. The two companies will develop a complete operational flight ready system – using Glyndwr Innovations Ltd’s Ultra Lightweight Telescope and Qinetiq’s SDML system.
