Dock is Leicester’s hub for high tech, low carbon and innovative businesses. Opened in Autumn 2013, Dock is a state of the art workspace and business development centre for knowledge economy businesses.
Dock offers a range of workspaces including office, lab and workshop space for up to 55 businesses. The onsite business development team will be on hand to support your business growth needs.
Dock is made up of 54 units which are offices, labs and light commercial spaces over a gross area of 34,000 sq ft as well as a range of meeting rooms that are let to tenants and the local business community. The units range from 20-70m2. Dock has been open for 5 years and has been pretty much full for the last three years.
Discussions are taking place to develop the rest of the area, a proposed next building would be circa 25,000 sq ft of grow on space next to Dock. That is currently at an early design stage and current timelines look like it would open summer 2020. There is also even earlier discussions around a further circa 30/40,000 sq ft of space after that. All Dock tenants have to be technology businesses or generate their revenue from innovative IP, and the Dock also consider applications from supporting industries.
