Business Support Administrator

Minerva Business Angels, part of the University of Warwick Science Park, are one of the fastest growing Business Angel groups in the UK. Angel investors provide an essential investment into start-ups and high growth companies seeking access to finance to grow. Minerva helps curate these companies to become investment ready, giving them access to our growing number of Minerva Investment Groups, which currently stands at 10. We provide in these groups a forum to stimulate debate and thus facilitate access to investment from our pool of Angels. Our role is to help support both sides of the equation, investors and companies, come together so they can independently discover the best proposition for both parties.
The successful candidate will be pivotal in supporting the delivery, administration, marketing, and supporting the operation of our events programme.
The successful candidate will have experience in: –
- The implementation of digital and social media marketing plans with experience in supporting website updates, liaising with media/PR outlets, use of social media to run campaigns
- Event management including working with third parties in the delivery of events, the organisation thereof and the management of attendees, including their details in a GDPR compliant manner
- Financial Administration, to include inputting invoices, gathering information to correctly invoice both companies and angels and supporting any late payments
- Provide and administer information to enable Minerva to work in a compliant manner as required by the FCA
- Help with the management of our investor pool, including the need to ensure they meet the needs of FCA Regulations
- Support the Head of Minerva in the delivery of the necessary services to support its growth plans
- Microsoft Office skills with excel proficiency
- Working in a busy environment but equally happy to work on their own including travelling to events and managing them on their own
- Taking on several diverse tasks
- The role involves working some evenings and weekends and off-campus plus UK travel
Salary will be on FA4 of the grading scales £23,715 – £27,131 subject to experience, skills and the capacity to work out of normal office hours when required. The role comes with generous holidays and benefits, and the advantage of joining the Heritage pension scheme. This is a full-time position of 36.50 hours per week.

The University of Warwick Science Park is the West Midlands leader for the combined provision of quality office space and business support for knowledge-based innovation led companies across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull. For over 30 years it has been one of the leading science parks in Europe. As a result of its success the Science Park has established a series of satellite Innovation Centres and now needs a part-time Administrator for its operation at Warwick Innovation Centre, Warwick.
The successful candidate will be responsible for administration of the centre 4 days a week from 8.30 am to 5.00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and 8.30am to 4pm on Friday, alternative days may be considered for the right candidate.
Administrator
The successful candidate will have experience in:-
- Financial Administration, using the SAP financial package to include inputting invoices and producing and processing purchase orders. Gather information to correctly invoice tenants on services provided through business services. Provide and administer information to enable the Centre Manager to forecast and develop budgets. Liaise and work with Head Office Finance team to ensure and efficient implementation of the financial procedures
- Managing IT support for users and maintaining and updating the telephone system
- Meeting potential tenants and following up with support and assistance as required
- Providing customer services and proactively generating business
- Supervision of staff and reception service
- Provide cover for the Centre Manager to include the occasional out of hours call out
- Following routine building procedures and policies i.e. opening and locking up the building when necessary, weekly alarm checks, issuing security tags
- Microsoft Office skills with excel proficiency
- Preferably a background in property management,
- Working in a busy environment
- First aid or Fire Marshall Certificate or willing to train
- Taking on a number of diverse tasks to maximise the efficiency of the Centre
Salary will be paid at FA3 spinal point 11, £20,092 pro-rata per annum subject to experience, skills and the capacity to cover holiday periods, emergencies etc. across our other three sites. The role come with generous holidays and benefits, and the advantage of joining the Heritage pension scheme.

The successful candidate will provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative and tenant support service for Blythe Valley Innovation Centre. To support the Centre Manager in the delivery of effective and relevant operational procedures.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and well-motivated individual to join our team. The successful applicant must have excellent customer service and administrative skills, a good telephone manner, should be enthusiastic and well-motivated, together with the ability to interact with staff, tenants, visitors, and contractors. Word processing skills, experience in the use of Microsoft Office/Word/Excel packages and a good standard of English are essential attributes.
