Evaluation of the Past and Future Economic Contribution of the UK Science Park Movement The UK Science Park Association, working in partnership with the Small Business Service, commissioned ANGLE Technology to undertake research to identify the nature of the additionality the science park movement brings to the performance of knowledge-based firms located on Science Parks in the UK. This report presents the findings of this research and provides specific insights into the: ● Performance of a representative sample of science park tenants compared with similar firms located off ● science parks; and ● Influence of regional and/or sub-regional locations on the performance of science park developments. The recommendations focus firmly on the future and concentrate on two important strategic issues: ● Stimulating the further development of successful, mature science parks; and ● Facilitating the fast track development of new science parks.
