The UK Innovation Relay Centre Network (IRCs) support innovation and technology partnerships involving companies or research organisations across Europe and beyond. Each IRC, part-funded by the European Commission, has access to the resources of a Europe-wide network, numbering 71 members in 33 countries. Primarily, but not exclusively, targeted at small technology-oriented companies, IRCs provide a range of professional business-support services, helping clients to find new technologies and better exploit their research results through cross-border partnerships. There are nine IRCs in the network of UK IRCs covering the 12 UK regions. The Network supports a large and dynamic database of technology 'offers' and 'requests' with partnering opportunities around specific technologies from all over the UK and Europe.
