    Business is booming for companies based at Sci-Tech Daresbury following another year of strong growth, according to data revealed in the annual tenants’ campus survey.

    The survey of 97 businesses based at the leading science and technology campus revealed that more than £115 million in sales were generated in 2017, with annual sales growth of 33 per cent in the past 12 months.

    A Welsh consortium has secured £350,000 of research and development funding to help tackle childhood obesity using apples in an innovative way.

    Touch Biometrix recognised as key player

    Disruptive fingerprint technology company Touch Biometrix has been recognised as one of the Top 20 global key players in a new report.

    The Welsh company made it on to the newly published market forecast report for the fingerprint sensing industry alongside other leading players including Apple.

    The new research report predicts the fingerprint sensor market is expected to grow from $4.25 billion in 2018 to $8.8 billion by 2023.

    Warwick company launching clinical study in fertility

    A Warwick company which was launched to help women become pregnant is set to start an additional large-scale clinical study in the UK and USA.

    Companies move into £7m extension at Fareham Innovation Centre

    Three expanding companies are to relocate to larger workspaces within a flourishing innovation centre in south Hampshire, following a £7 million extension which opens last week.

    They currently operate out of Fareham Innovation Centre’s original £5.3m building, which opened three years ago with 24 offices and 15 light-manufacturing workshops.

    More than 40 businesses from the marine, engineering and aerospace sectors rapidly filled the building by Solent Airport, with near 100% occupancy achieved within 12 months.
