Edinburgh Technopole: First phase of masterplan approved by Council.


The three new offices/laboratory buildings at the Edinburgh Technopole site are expected to secure 150 to 300 jobs. The application by AG Technopole was approved by Midlothian Council’s planning committee subject to referral to Scottish Ministers.

Tony McEnroe, CEO of SiriusXT (www.siriusxt.com), a University College Dublin (UCD) spin-out company, has won Enterprise Ireland’s inaugural High Potential Start-up (HPSU) Founder of the Year Award which is supported by Grant Thornton.

As the overall winner the company received a prize valued at €15,000 provided by Grant Thornton to further support the development of the company.

A start-up which specialises in management consultancy and software business has moved into new premises in Portsmouth after outgrowing the homes of the co-founders.

Skore is the latest firm to join nearly 60 other businesses operating out of Portsmouth Technopole, opposite the city’s ferry port by the M275.

Silverstone Park: Planning granted for over 2m sq ft of commercial development

 

MEPC has been granted a new planning consent for over 2m sq ft of commercial development on its 131 acre site at Silverstone Park. 

Consent was granted by South Northamptonshire District Council and Aylesbury Vale District Council.

Tribal Group plc has acquired the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and exclusive distribution rights for the Wambiz private social network to the education markets across the UK, Australia and New Zealand in a deal worth in the region of £2m. The edtech start-up – based at the Innovation Birmingham Campus – is now focused on expansion into mainland Europe and the US.
