R-Biopharm Rhone launch new premises
| R-Biopharm Rhône have officially opened their new purpose-built premises in the West of Scotland Science Park in Glasgow for business. The R-Biopharm group was founded in 1988 with R-Biopharm AG and has grown dramatically over the 21 years to include subsidiaries in France, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, China, Australia, USA and the UK. The company also has a strong network of distributors selling its products in over 90 countries worldwide. 2009 has been an exceptional year for the group, bucking the current world economic trend, with both R-Biopharm Rhône (Glasgow, UK) and the parent company R-Biopharm AG (Darmstadt, Germany) re-locating to custom-built facilities and continuing to recruit skilled staff in both locations to meet its customers’ ever growing demands. Previously, R-Biopharm Rhône had two premises on the Kelvin Campus, West of Scotland Science Park, however space was restricted and expansion was required to increase the laboratory, production and warehouse facilities. Supported by a Scottish government RSA grant, the company recently invested in the new facility to house all departments under one roof and to increase the total area of the company by approximately 65%, providing continued scope for the ever expanding company. The move to the new premises took place during the summer and is located directly across the road from our previous premises in the Todd Campus. Earlier in the year the parent company R-Biopharm AG invested over 22 million Euros to build its bespoke company headquarters and moved to just outside Darmstadt in Germany. Both in Germany and the UK, all departments including Production, Sales & Marketing, Quality Control, Research & Development, Accounts, Warehousing and Dispatch are now united under one roof. The new facilities will help to improve the workflow of both companies therefore enhancing the overall service offered to its customers. Impressive conference facilities and state-of-the-art laboratories are also available in both companies allowing for better quality training, meetings and practical support for customers and distributors alike.
