New Technical Director at Ground-Gas Solutions

John Naylor has been appointed Technical Director at the Manchester Science Park-based specialist environmental consultancy, Ground-Gas Solutions Ltd.

As Technical Director, John (33) will be responsible for ensuring Ground-Gas Solutions stays at the forefront of technical ability in the continuous ground-gas data capture, analysis, risk assessment and remedial design sector. This will include the production of a new Best Practice policy focusing on the high frequency monitoring of gases in the ground at contaminated land, such as brownfield and former landfill sites.

A graduate Geologist from the University of Manchester and a member of the Land Quality Committee for Environmental Protection UK, John has over ten years experience in ground investigation, environmental monitoring and regulatory control after working in both the private and public sectors. He comes to the role at Ground-Gas Solutions from Urban Vision, where he held the position of Principal Contaminated Land Officer.

John also worked as a Contaminated Land Officer at Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council from 2001 to 2003 and then as a Senior Environmental Protection Officer at Bury Metropolitan Borough Council for five years.
