Progress at Aberdeen Energy & Innovation Parks

Aberdeen: Wednesday, 3rd August 2011

The Aberdeen Energy & Innovation Parks have benefited from strategic investment since the formation of the Partnership between Buccleuch Property and Scottish Enterprise in 2010. This includes a £1.5 million refurbishment programme to upgrade the common facilities within seven of the Parks' multi-let buildings as well as the rebranding of the Parks to facilitate a more modern working environment and relevant context for those engaged in the energy, technology and associated sectors.

The new interactive website www.aeip.co.uk provides details of availability at the Parks as well as a networking forum for organisations already located at the Parks and up-to-date details of occupier focused events which include business workshops and sponsored seminars hosted by specialist science park consultants, New Park.

Construction of The Hub, a new 15,000 square foot development on the Aberdeen Energy Park has commenced and will complete in July 2012 when the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce will take occupation of part of the facility. A further 7,000 square feet of office space is available to lease within the building and the focal 'hub' element will provide amenity space for the Parks including café, break-out and meeting space.

This programme of strategic investment is underpinned by the Partnership's objective to develop and enhance the Aberdeen Energy & Innovation Parks as the national location of choice in the pursuit of excellence in the energy and technology sectors.

With 9 multi-let facilities providing office, lab and workshop units and 55 acres of development land available across the Parks, there are a range of accommodation solutions available to occupiers, large and small, from short term 'serviced' tenancies to the acquisition of sites for the development of bespoke HQ facilities.
