Venture into a green future today
Glasgow: Tuesday, 11th May 2010 Stunning new office and laboratory building on site at West of Scotland Science Park.Speyroc have recently commenced the construction of the Venture Building at Glasgow's premier Science Park. The three-storey building extends to 31,500 sq ft and incorporates a stunning full height atrium. In common with Speyroc’s previous buildings it is designed to the highest environmental standards and will be both BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and have an ‘A’ rated energy performance certificate. It will generate power through an 11kw Gaia wind turbine, and heat pumps serving under floor heating throughout – all reducing occupational costs. Flexibility has been a key design feature, not only enabling the space to be capable of accommodating a wide range of fit-outs from laboratory to office, but also providing suites as small as 1000 sq ft. WoSSP has earned a great reputation as the premier location for Science related businesses in Scotland and home to some 35 leading companies. The Park benefits from a mature parkland landscaping, extensive sporting, conference and other facilities. It is also close to the Internationally renowned University of Glasgow Veterinary School and Beatson Institute for Cancer Research. Alexander Haig, Speyroc MD, said: ‘This is our fourth development project at WoSSP, and we continue to be attracted to this location as we believe it is the best place for science related businesses to locate.’ www.venturebuilding.co.uk Pictured: An artist's impression of The Venture Building. |
