Last week saw over 100 delegates converge on Imperial White City for the first UKSPA event of 2019
This was a return visit to Imperial, as four years ago, we met. This was an opportunity to see the enormous amount of progress underatken, the journey made and the plans for the future,
Enterprise Nation’s UKSPA Partnership
Enterprise Nation has agreed a partnership with the UK Science Park Association to help accelerate the level of core business support available in the UK’s growing network of Science and Innovation Parks.
While there is already a detailed focus on incubating innovation for high growth, knowledge-based firms, there is an appetite to offer ‘plugged in’ business support for companies grappling with the fundamental business groundwork including marketing and export.
The UKSPA website is being redesigned in order to bring more benefits to members and we would really value your opinion, both on the current site and any improvements that you feel could be made to it.
Honouring the concept that small changes can create big waves, UKSPA and Jisc are excited to announce a new Digital Partnership, which will spark future collaboration with UKSPA and its members.
The next UKSPA member conference will be hosted by Cambridge Science Park with support from Conference partner Bidwells. It will be held on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 October 2018.

The UKSPA management team is extremely pleased to announce a new contract publishing partnership with Open Box Media & Communications. This new working agreement places us in a position to be able to continue production of our exciting new publication; Breakthrough magazine.
Building on our success
The next UKSPA event is hosted by Lincoln Science and Innovation Park and will take place at the main campus of the University of Lincoln on 7th and 8th June 2018.
Discovering Discovery Park
With appreciation for all our member management teams
Following my arrival as UKSPA Executive Director in mid-January, I have made a determined attempt to keep - each week - two days in my diary that are committed to visiting our members. My aim to see at first-hand what our members are doing and also to inform them of my own ambitions to support their work and promote their achievements. It has been exceptionally rewarding.
The first 50 days
Although not quite 50 days since I took over as the new Executive Director, I wanted to share with you some of our plans for UKSPA in the coming months.
In January we said a fond farewell to our former CEO, Paul Wright, who has steered UKSPA across sometimes turbulent waters for the past 16 years. He will be sorely missed but we wish him all the very best in his new life in rural Wales.
