Fifteen of the UK’s most innovative women were honoured at an awards ceremony at London’s Royal Society of Arts earlier today.
Innovate UK launched this nationwide competition in May 2016. The aim was to challenge the low numbers of women entrepreneurs in the UK.
In today’s competitive, global economy, sourcing high-calibre staff can be a real challenge.
Dr Brian Bowsher has been appointed as the Chief Executive of the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), Science Minister Jo Johnson announced (27 October 2016). He will take up his position on 1 November 2016.

The Turkish Technology Parks Consortium (Teknopark Istanbul, ODTU Teknokent and ITU ARI Teknokent) will host the 34th IASP Annual World Conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation in September 2017.
The conference will bring together experts from STPs (Science and Technology Parks) and other AOIs (Areas of Innovation), technology-based incubators, academia, the public sector and business to discuss and debate in depth the trends in STPs and other areas of innovation as increasingly complex structures for professional innovation support.
The newly created Midlothian Science Zone, on the southern edge of Edinburgh, is ready to welcome delegates from over 100 innovation locations for UKSPA’s October Conference.
