Membership Categories
There are six categories of membership of the Association:
1)
Full Members
Science Parks, Research Parks, Technology Parks, Technology Centres, Technopoles, Innovation Centres and technology-based Incubators. These centres are fully operational, having a site and partly or wholly occupied buildings, with a management staff in place.
2)
Associate Members
Innovation-based Parks and technology-based incubators which are in the conceptual stage of development and aspiring to full membership.
3)
Overseas Members
Innovation-based Parks operating in countries outside the UK and Republic of Ireland who wish to have direct membership of UKSPA.

4)
Companions
Individuals who, by their work with the Association and Science Parks in general, are elected to honorary membership of the Association.
5)
Affiliate Members
Organisations joining the Association, usually with reciprocal membership rights for the Association, whose objectives and activities have common ground with those of the Association and where membership could be mutually beneficial.
6)
Business Affiliates
Organisations which have an interest in the Association or Science Parks in general and co-operate with the Association and its members in pursuit of its objectives.

Provided that if such Science Parks or organisations are not corporations a single nominated representative of the Science Park or organisation may be admitted as a member of the Association to act on their behalf.
