A unique business environment
Comprising over 1,000 acres of land located in the centre of England and close to Coventry, Stoneleigh Park is a unique site and the perfect location for science and technology based rural businesses.
Stoneleigh Park sits firmly at the heart of England’s rural economy and is home to a cluster of over 70 businesses with their emphasis on agriculture, food production, sustainability, renewable energy, equine and livestock husbandry, plus the wider rural economy.
Over the next ten years £50 million will be invested to improve the facilities and support services, to ensure the growth and prosperity of the site.
On site facilities
The site is already well established with existing facilities that include extensive free car parking, a 58 bedroom hotel, café and farm shop, gym, children’s nursery, conference facilities, exhibition halls and 3 helicopter landing pads.
Stoneleigh Park has its own fibre optic network that provides a high quality, fully resilient broadband service, with download speeds of 500Mbps and faster if required, at very competitive prices.
Stoneleigh Park has amongst the existing 70 tenants on site, some of the most influential associations and organisations representing the rural and land based economy. They include the Royal Agricultural Society of England, The National Farmers Union and the Agricultural and Horticulture Development Board. These bodies can assist in developing agri-knowledge as well as opening doors to UK decision and policy makers.
Research and development
The nearby universities of Warwick and Coventry are acknowledged as two of the leading educational institutions in the country. They, together with Warwickshire College, have research departments that specialise in agri- and bio-sciences; which can assist tenants with contract research, consultancy, training and workshops, graduate placements and apprentices, together with access to equipment and expertise. As well as helping make the right connections here, Stoneleigh Park can also affect introductions to an extensive list of other academic communities both UK based and abroad.
There is a wide choice of commercial properties to let on site. For larger organisations, bespoke new development opportunities can be constructed to meet occupiers’ specific requirements. For smaller concerns there is a range of existing buildings available that can be refurbished and customised to meet customer needs. Lastly, for the smaller business there is the “Rural Innovation Centre”, a serviced office scheme designed to house and support start up and small businesses. This is run in conjunction with DEFRA and Warwickshire County Council as part of the Rural Growth Network, which provides all the necessary support structures to ensure the businesses succeed.
The vision for Stoneleigh Park builds on the site’s distinguished agricultural heritage and is set out in a fully funded, 15 year development programme. A recently consented masterplan allows for an increase in space that could accommodate 1,500 new jobs and includes the construction of new offices and research facilities of superior quality, new and improved highway connections, an extension to the existing hotel and a new larger café, restaurant and farm shop. In addition, there is a programme of refurbishments already underway, that is revitalising the existing stock of buildings on site, which includes further incubator units for small and medium enterprises.
