“The tenancy team is always available for a good chat about how we’re doing as a company and how the University can support us. A great network to be part of, with everybody facing similar challenges growing a tech company”

About

London South Bank University (LSBU) has been providing flexible space for small businesses in our Technopark building since the 1980s. We are expanding this provision with a brand new building dedicated to Enterprise. The Clarence Centre for Enterprise and Innovation offers flexible office space for small businesses, as well as a permanent home to the University's Enterprise and Central Research teams.

The original Grade II listed run of terrace houses and Duke of Clarence pub have been fully refurbished to an extremely high, contemporary standard yet many of the original features, such as fireplaces, remain as a link to the building's heritage.

As well as office space, the enterprise centre combines formal retail units with more informal and inspirational working areas including 'huddle' and 'brainstorm' rooms, spaces for events and exhibitions and access to a landscaped garden. There is also a professional and convenient space for businesses to bring clients. All this, just minutes from Waterloo, London Bridge and Elephant & Castle overground and underground stations.

Supporting a successful business community

Our tenant community is made up of established SMEs, start-ups, student businesses, academics, and the Research, Enterprise & Innovation team who share knowledge, experience and creativity to foster success and create opportunity.

Our workspace community is based across two sites: Technopark and the award-winning Clarence Centre for Enterprise & Innovation

Our tenant businesses contribute to the University in a variety of ways: taking on interns, giving talks and lectures, giving input into LSBU curricula, and judging our business competitions. Their current, practical knowledge and experience is highly beneficial and relevant to both students and staff.

In return, our tenants benefit from regular contact with our academic environment and draw on our world leading expertise to innovate, grow and boost their performance.

Being part of LSBU’s tenant community has many benefits including affordable facilities, unique collaborations and inspiring networking opportunities. Our on-site facilities and services are:
