KJ Tait Engineers are a professional practice of Building Services Engineer with offices in Aberdeen, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Cambridge. Formed in 1978, the firmp has extensive experience in all sectors of construction. The Management of KJ Tait Engineers comprises 7 No Directors and with a current complement of 72 No Staff.
KJ Tait Engineers have significant expertise in the laboratory sector, with current laboratory commissions with the Granta Park, Cambridg Science Park, Liverpool Science Park the University of Cambridge and Edinburgh Technopole. One of the firm’s key projects is the design of the £200m New Laboratory of Molecular Biology on the Addenbrookes Site in Cambridge. This major laboratory building was completed in late 2012.
In addition to the traditional core Engineering Services disciplines, thePractice embodies in-house expertise in several areas including specialist lighting design, low carbon advice, and facilities management. KJ Tait’s design approach is to meet their Clients’ demands by engineering simple building solutions that minimise complexity.

Each Engineer within KJ Tait, including Associates and Partners, has a designated area of specialisation. In addition to their design duties, staff are encouraged to keep abreast of literature and developments in these fields to ensure KJ Tait consistently provide a suitably skilled design service to their Clients.
