The Ipswich Waterfront Innovation Centre (IWIC) at the University of Suffolk is a place for and growing community of aspiring innovators.

Embedded in the University of Suffolk, the IWIC focuses on accommodating pre-start concepts and early stage start-ups across multiple technology sectors. IWIC has been established by the University of Suffolk as a focal point for developing entrepreneurs and innovative business concepts within a collaborative workspace.

IWIC members can interact with university experts and student interns across a range of disciplines, as well as being able to access 3D imaging and printing facilities to support design, prototyping and skills development.

Members include entrepreneurs, innovators, freelancers, digital creators and professional service providers, with low barriers to engagement between start-ups and University expertise.

The IWIC provides co-working space, networking, training and collaborative opportunities, with subject areas including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Digital Creative, Leadership and Business Management at the University.

IWIC facilitates access to advice, training and support from a range of organisations championing innovation and growth in Suffolk and the region. The University of Suffolk describes itself as a distinctive, thriving academic community which makes a clear and immediate impact.
