Haverhill Research Park is the new home for technology companies on the Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire border. Cambridge facing and with a Cambridge post code, Haverhill Research Park is bringing the Cambridge science park environment to Haverhill.

Master planned to create a low density, high quality landscaped and sustainable environment where people and businesses can interact and thrive, Haverhill Research Park provides up to 450,000sq ft. of office/laboratory/ technology and supporting accommodation for a wide spectrum of companies from start-ups to global players.

With all infrastructure now in place, companies can benefit from a ‘fast –track’ approach to development; the first company to occupy a new building on the site will qualify for up to £275,000 in Business Rates relief over five years.

Detailed planning has been approved for a 30,000sq ft. Innovation Centre, The Epicentre which will be the first landmark building for the park. Arranged over four storeys it will comprise high specification offices and dry R&D accommodation in a range of sizes, from 170, sq ft. to 7,000 sq. ft., together with conference and meeting rooms, training facilities and a work- hub area for shared working. There will also be a coffee shop overlooking the pond which will create a focal point for the Epicentre as well as other businesses located on the park. Ultra-fast broadband will soon be connected to the site. Virtual tenancies are available now.

Taylor Wimpey is building 150 new homes adjacent the site, and a Marston’s family pub/ restaurant has been built at the park entrance. There is also provision for an onsite nursery/ crèche. A Sainsbury’s store and the residential areas of Hanchett End are within walking distance, and two academy secondary schools are located in Haverhill, with the town centre being only a five minute drive.

Haverhill offers a thriving business community with a core of high value companies engaged in research and development and a valuable skills base. The Haverhill Research Park Team is fully engaged and committed to working with the full range of local, regional and national economic development, business support, higher and further education and technology sector interest groups who will together help deliver the Haverhill Research Park vision; University Campus Suffolk has already indicated its intention to have a presence on the park, and discussions are progressing with a number of other research organisations.

Haverhill is Suffolk’s fastest growing town and is only ten miles from the A11, 15 miles from Cambridge, and 28 miles from London Stansted Airport and 43 miles from the M11/M25 junction.
