Allia Future Business Centres provide affordable workspace, expert business support, and entrepreneurial inspiration for start-ups, early stage businesses, and future business leaders who want to make a positive impact on people, planet or place.

Our Centres focus on supporting impact ventures working in “tech for good” from a wide range of sectors including energy and heat, printing technology, online platforms and tools, biopolymers, cleantech, agritech, autonomous vehicles, printed electronics, smart technology, smart cities and the Internet of Things. We also support conflict resolution, education, and those engaged in community transformation.

Located in the heart of one of Europe’s most successful entrepreneurial clusters, Allia Future Business Centre Cambridge is a purpose-built 35,000 sq ft low-carbon innovation centre housing impact ventures. It has a unique business ecosystem that builds on Cambridge’s tech and life science sectors, and a strong social enterprise ecosystem with a focus on Tech for Good, genomics platforms, health and wellbeing, and community transformation.

The Centre benefits from strong transport links and is minutes from the Cambridge Science Park, St. John’s Innovation Centre and the Cambridge Business Park.


Allia Future Business CentreAllia opened the Future Business Centre Peterborough in June 2015, which is driving the development of Peterborough’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Centre connects with Peterborough’s aspirations to be an Environment Capital and the UK’s first Circular City. It focuses on environmental technologies, digital technology, and circular economy models.

Allia Future Business Centre Peterborough is also home to the Innovation Lab, one of the UK’s newest and most advanced “maker spaces” offering a state of the art innovation space for entrepreneurs and start-ups to prototype, test, and share their ideas using a whole range of 3D printers, drone systems, and Computer Aided Design. Grow Kitchen + Bar is a new addition to the Centre offering ethically sourced food and meet-up space for the local community and business professionals.

East London

The newest of the Allia Future Business Centre family opened in June 2017. Supporting East London’s entrepreneurs, the Centre will support a wide range of scaling ventures who are committed to growth and generating local jobs.

Serious Impact

An integral part of the Allia Future Business Centre is our business support. Serious Impact is a range of structured programmes to support entrepreneurs to start, develop and grow impact ventures. The programme is delivered through in-house business advisors who have extensive experience of working with entrepreneurs and business ventures. Entry onto the Serious Impact programme is competitive and subject to an application process. If you’ve got a brilliant idea that you believe will make an impact but don’t know how to turn it into a business, this programme is for you. The Serious Impact support programme currently includes:

• Start-up – 30 day programme

• Accelerator – 3 month programme

• Incubator – 9 month programme

• Challenge weekends – thematic challenges to drive new innovation

• Innovate – state-of-the-art equipment for prototyping delivered through our Innovation Lab.

Creating impact

To date, Allia Future Business Centres have worked with 500 + businesses of all types of business models, helping them to start up, grow, and create hundreds of jobs.
