The service is a partnership between BioPark and ABS Laboratories that allows organisations and researchers to rent time in the laboratory or utilise a full assay service if required.

Hire of the facility includes training and supervision from ABS Laboratories (where required), to assist researchers in undertaking their own biomarker assays.

The following services are available:

  • A full biomarker assay service - small or large batches administered by us on your behalf.

  • An assisted service - you have the use of the facility to perform assays using your own consumables. Our team will be on hand to assist as required.

  • Full use of the facility - available if you are looking to develop your own assays for novel biomarkers. Our team will be on hand to assist as required.

The facility utilises a state-of-the-art Meso Scale Discovery® (MSD) Multi-Array® detection unit, ‘MSDSECTOR® Imager 6000’ to read and quantify a wide range of single and multiplex kits for biomarkers, cell signalling pathways and immunogenicity assays.

The detector unit is based on electro-chemiluminescence technology; the assay kits are also provided by MSD. This platform has become the industry standard within many large pharmaceutical companies for supporting in-vitro, preclinical and clinical drug discovery and development.  For more information please see www.meso-scale.com.
