The Bridge Innovation Centre was established as the central hub of the fledgling Pembrokeshire Science and Technology Park as an enabler to help diversify the economy of Pembrokeshire.  As Pembrokeshire’s premier location for modern thinking businesses, it provides a unique environment for innovation and business growth with knowledge sharing, collaboration and networking.  The Pembrokeshire Science and Technology Park is part of the wider Haven Energy Enterprise Zone, which is home to Petrochemical and LNG industries as well as being the home of a new 2000MW CCGT Power Station.  Milford Haven is well known for its deep water port and some 20% of the UK’s energy comes through the Haven.  Renewable Energy is high on the agenda too, with impressive wave and tidal resources and  400kVA grid connectivity.

Located close to the impressive Cleddau Bridge that links the North and South of the spectacular county of Pembrokeshire, the Bridge innovation Centre represents all that is positive in the Pembrokeshire Economy.  Under the governance of Pembrokeshire County Council, the Bridge Innovation Centre aims to combine the following themes:

  • Business Premises and advice
  • Research facilities for Science and Technology
  • Innovation and Incubation
  • Development of business ideas to market
  • Growth Opportunities
  • Enterprise and Entrepreneurship.

Businesses that embrace innovation can engage with the Centre in a number of ways. The Bridge Innovation Centre Offers virtual office facilities, hot desks and single desks in a shared office, through to full residency in high tech offices at a competitive rate.  On site there are self contained workshops or units ready for conversion to laboratory space from 126 sq m (1350sq ft) to 273 sq m (2950 sq ft).  The Bridge Innovation Centre is partnered with Welsh Academia and this close relationship allows businesses to link with academic excellence for knowledge exchange partnerships, research and development, and student placements.

Businesses can also benefit from a comprehensive support package with links to business, professional advice and financial support from the Welsh Government and other locally supported business finance initiatives.
