Hotel Accomodation The meeting is held at Hardwick Hall Hotel and the reserved rooms allocated to UKSPA have now been taken and the hotel is fully booked. Hardwick Hall's sister hotel – Ramside Hall Hotel – is offering an identical tarriff. The room rate is reduced to £75 per night for single occupation (Double occupation is £100 per night) including breakfast for event attendees. The group reference number is GA00260. Depending on numbers there is likely to be transport arranged between the Ramside Hall Hotel and Hardwick Hall on Thursday night (after the Reception) and Friday morning. About North East Technology Park (NETPark) NETPark's vision is to fill 90 hectares with companies commercialising science, engineering and technology R&D. Six years old, it has a major focus on electronics, including nanotechnology, photonics, microsystems, energy, medical technology and printable electronics. Click here for a Google Map. There is plenty of car parking at Hardwick Hall. There is a bus which stops right outside NETPark, the Arriva X1 service – click here for details. By train NETPark and Hardwick Hall Hotel are under 10 miles from Durham Station and 14 miles from Darlington Station, both on the East Coast mainline. High speed trains run at least every half an hour between London and Scotland stopping at Durham and several more Cross Country and Northern Rail services stop at Durham daily. Travel time to Durham is approximately 2.5 hours from London and 1.5-2 hours from Edinburgh – www.eastcoast.co.uk. In the interests of saving the planet, CDDC has organised a coach which will collect delegates from Durham Station the morning of the 16th September, at a time to be confirmed once the programme is finalised. This coach will return delegates to Durham station the following day, leaving Hardwick Hall Hotel at the end of the meeting. Please register for this service when you register for the Meeting.
