UKSPA Nottingham Conference


The next UKSPA event will be hosted in Nottingham by the University of Nottingham Innovation Park on Thursday 26th January and Friday 27th January 2017. 

All sessions and the Thursday evening Reception/Networking Dinner will be held at the Jubilee Conference Centre, a 95 bed hotel and conference facility - operated by De Vere Hotels - overlooking the lake at University of Nottingham’s Jubilee Campus 

The Programme:

The event will be mix of Plenary and Parallel Sessions covering current issues affecting the Science, Innovation and Incubation sector.

Parallel Sessions : Delegates have a choice from sessions covering:

1. Incubation and Acceleration 

2. Science, Innovation and Industrial Strategy – National Policies and Local Delivery

3. BioCity: New Models of Collaboration and Investment

4. Science and Innovation Audits: Lessons from the Midlands Engine.

Study Tours:

The University of Nottingham Innovation Park and Jubilee Campus are home to some of the most innovative buildings in the Science and Technology Sector. There will be optional small group visits to a number of these locations on the Thursday morning.

1 Ingenuity Centre (Ingenuity Lab & Enterprise at Nottingham) - TOUR NOW FULLY BOOKED

The Ingenuity Lab’s mission is to create an environment where students and alumni of The University of Nottingham can explore ideas and start their own enterprises. 

2 Aerospace Technology Building and Energy Technologies Building - TOUR NOW FULLY BOOKED

The Aerospace Technology Centre (ATC) is a dedicated research and knowledge transfer centre on University of Nottingham Innovation Park (UNIP), adjacent to Jubilee Campus. The 1800m2 facility provides unique facilities for application-focused research. 

3 GSK Carbon Neutral Laboratory - LIMITED AVAILABILITY

The GlaxoSmithKline Carbon Neutral Laboratory for Sustainable Chemistry is the latest landmark development to be undertaken by The University of Nottingham on its Jubilee Campus.
