Forty of the East Midlands’ most innovative high-tech and scientific companies will be exhibiting at the LATI 2016 ‘From Earth to Space and Beyond’ Showcase event to be held in Loughborough on the first day Leicester Business Festival.

LATi, a Loughborough-based networking group for people who work in high-tech, science and engineering, is holding hold a major showcase event on Monday, 24th October, as part of Leicester Business Festival at Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park (LUSEP).

Themed ‘From Earth to Space and Beyond’, LATi 2016 ‘From Earth to Space and Beyond’ will showcase the strength and diversity of local businesses who are involved in all aspects of science and technological innovation, from life sciences to space engineering. Talks are by Dr Rose Deakin - a community horticulturalist, Andrew Bowyer - a space engineer, and well-known futurist Christopher Barnatt, who’ll be talking about how our science past and science future is connected.

John Duncan, Chairman of LATi says "The East Midlands has a rich diversity of science, engineering and technology companies. Andy Bowyer, MD of Leicester-based Magna Parva, and speaker at the LATI 2016 Showcase says: ”Space engineering is one of many high-tech industries in and around Leicester through which a broader high-tech supply chain can be built increasing the number higher paid roles, keeping graduates in the region and increasing prosperity.”
