Business Durham is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to manage high profile innovation projects, including the North East Satellite Applications Centre of Excellence at NETPark. The primary responsibilities of the role are to provide support for businesses within or developing into the innovation based economy, managing high quality interaction and negotiations with key decision makers in public and private sectors, and developing and implementing innovation projects in County Durham, seeking opportunities to both bid for projects for Business Durham and assist in building consortia of organisations to win high value funding awards such as Horizon 2020.
The successful candidate will have a track record in winning business and managing relationships, and an understanding of innovation processes and how they can be applied across business sectors and technology areas. A science background is desirable, as is a knowledge of the innovation landscape in the UK.
