Original Content Design (OCD) have won a six month stay in Discovery Park’s Start Up Zone – joining 15 other new companies with ambitions to take the business world by storm.
The media company specialises in producing video content for businesses looking to build their online profile offering support for increasing awareness on the web and through social media.
OCD, selected as the winner following a special draw at the recent Kent 2020 Start Up Live event, also produce videos for internal corporate purposes as well as photography and design services.
Founded in December 2014, OCD is the venture of creative professionals Lee Hollands and Paul Dodd. The pair have been friends since their schooldays, linking up professionally at Saga in Sandgate.
After overhauling the company’s creative output they decided the time was right to make the leap and set upon their own.
With 20 years’ industry experience under each of their belts, the pair have had a flying start working with clients such as AXA PPP Healthcare, Money Super Market and the NHS.
OCD is currently a two-man operation but hire freelancers or take in people on work experience to help with larger projects. Lee and Paul are keen to help local talent and hope to expand.
Lee, said: “There has been so much support from the Kent business community since we started. As we do our best to promote ourselves and ‘get out there’ this prize of space at Discovery Park could prove extremely valuable.”
“We want to make the most of getting to know our new neighbours, hopefully creating some mutually beneficial business relationships as well as enjoying the great facilities which can perhaps be limited in a home studio environment.”
Anna Stone, Leasing Director at Discovery Park, said: “Discovery Park is all about innovation, so we are delighted to welcome OCD to the site and wish them every success in the months ahead.”
