Emerging Technologies Competition

Emerging Technologies Competition

The Royal Society of Chemistry is organising their flagship innovation initiative, Emerging Technologies Competition. The competition is designed to accelerate the commercialisation of promising technologies in the fields of health & wellbeing, energy & environment, food & water and materials.

Winners of the competition receive ongoing, tailored support from the initiatives multinational partner companies (including GSK, P&G, AstraZeneca, GE Healthcare, Schlumberger and Croda), up to £20,000, and a number of promotional opportunities.

The competition is open to both small companies and universities but this year the Royal Society of Chemistry would like to make sure that small companies get as much out of the initiative as possible. UKSPA has been asked to raise awareness of the competition amongst science parks, innovation centres and incubators whose tenant companies are involved in research in any of the following areas:

  •  Life sciences, bio-tech, health and wellbeing
  • Energy, environment and sustainability
  • Food and water
  • Materials

The the competition opens on 11 January 2016 for more information can be found on the Royal Society of Chemistry Website.
