FITMAN European project to develop and apply technologies to the manufacturing industry

FITMAN (www.fitman-fi.eu) is a project within the European Commission’s Future Internet Public-Private-Partnership (FI-PPP) framework, developing and applying technologies to the manufacturing industry.

There is €80 million available in direct funding for European SMEs and web entrepreneurs to use and build on the technologies developed in FI-PPP projects like FITMAN via the FIWARE Accelerate Programme (http://www.fi-ware.org/accelerators ). The programme will fund and accelerate project ideas in several domains, such as 3D printing, transport, manufacturing and logistics. This is a fantastic opportunity to get financial, technical and business support for developing and bringing innovative applications to the market.

UKSPA is keen to help SMEs, start-ups and web entrepreneurs benefit from the funding opportunities in the FIWARE Accelerate Programme.

FITMAN offers platforms and tools that are ready to be used to develop applications of the Future Internet. FITMAN will support organisations wishing to participate in FIWARE Accelerate programme by building on FITMAN technologies and developing innovative solutions linked to manufacturing.  If you would like more information, and think this is something your members might benefit from, please get in touch!
