DEFRA is looking for an Innovation campus Director at Sand Hutton Agri-Food Innovation Campus.
To have overall responsibility for the operation and commercial development of the National Agri-Food Innovation Campus, York; a Defra owned science laboratory site housing the Food and Environment Research Agency and other public and private sector tenants.
The post holder will be the dedicated, on-site, senior management resource to oversee the operation and development of the Innovation Campus.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading similar projects, probably in a Science Park or similar, at a senior level. They will have had experience in co-ordinating, promoting and marketing such facilities, as well as involvement in innovation, possibly at the interface of academic and SMEs in areas relevant to the Food and Environment Research Agency. Financial acumen will be essential as will the ability to work with local development partners such as the Local Enterprise Partnership and local councils.
