George Walker
George Walker Treasurer & Secretary George Walker, MRICS, is a General Practice Chartered Surveyor who spent twenty-five years working in the coal industry. He worked for British Coal until 1997, when as Principle Estates Surveyor for Scotland he was involved in the sale of the core mining business and surplus land and property as part of the coal industry privatisation process.George has been Park Manager at Pentlands Science Park for 8 years and is responsible for all aspects of property and facilities management on the site. He attended his first UKSPA Members’ Meeting at Sunderland in 2001 and has attended most meetings since. George is currently chair of the Scottish Science Parks Group and past Chair of the Edinburgh Science Triangle Steering Group. George attended UKSPA Board meetings as Scottish ‘Observer’ for two years prior to election to the full Board in October 2008. |
